Directly linked to the terminals of LAX, the Hyatt Regency renovation draws on the mid-century modern origins of the building and the futuristic forms of its iconic neighbors. The architecture recalls the International Style, while the interiors reinterpret that heritage through flowing forms, period-inspired furnishings, and a restrained color palette punctuated by bursts of vibrant color.

The open lobby features sculptural walnut check-in pods set against an undulating white feature wall. This gesture continues into the adjacent food and beverage spaces, where guests can choose from grab-and-go options, a focal bar, or traditional sit-down dining. White sheers soften sightlines, echoing Southern California light and mood.

The Presidential Suite extends the mid-century modern theme with a layout defined by millwork portals that guide circulation and establish rhythm. Each space, from dining to lounge to sleeping quarters, is shaped by custom detailing and anchored in futuristic touches inspired by the LAX control tower. Bright orange accents energize the black, white, and gray palette, while specialty finishes such as black glass tile lend a refined edge.

Guestrooms pair neutral grays with bright yellow and purple accents. Furniture and lighting reference 1960s design, from triple globe pendants to sculpted pedestal tables. Custom millwork integrates storage, media, and amenities into a seamless architectural package, while renovated bathrooms feature frameless glass showers, geometric wallcovering, and stone vanities with integrated sinks.

The Conference Center and Ballroom were transformed from former office spaces into event destinations. Light-filled prefunction areas incorporate dramatic ceiling features, orb lighting, and permanent buffet stations. In the ballroom, programmable triangular ceiling lights can perform tailored light shows. Walnut wall paneling and translucent sheers provide warmth and balance to the otherwise crisp white envelope.
