After Hurricane Odile, Anderson Miller led a comprehensive renovation of the One&Only Palmilla, restoring its suites, villas, spa, and reception areas with an eye toward preserving regional identity and amplifying natural beauty.
Stone flooring, textured plaster, and richly pigmented art provide a creamy backdrop to custom furniture and curated accessories. Local materials and craftsmanship are featured throughout, from vibrant canvases and carved mirrors to custom rugs and textile accents. Each terrace includes curved daybeds and handcrafted pillows in regional color palettes.
The redesign also reimagined the resort’s entry sequence, converting former offices into an open reception and lifestyle boutique. Spa spaces were softened with natural finishes and updated to include a nail bar, juice bar, and men’s barbershop.
The overall effect is grounded yet transportive, a coastal sanctuary that honors place through detail, proportion, and mood.
