Private Aircraft Interior

Designing a private aircraft interior requires a fundamentally different way of thinking than designing a building or residence. Every surface, joint, mechanism, and material choice must meet strict performance, safety, and weight requirements, while still delivering comfort and visual clarity at close range. For this project, Anderson|Miller was deeply involved in every aspect of the process, working hands on to shape an interior that feels precise, composed, and quietly refined.

The cabin is designed as a continuous, cohesive environment. Seating, cabinetry, lighting, and integrated systems are aligned to create a sense of balance and calm throughout the aircraft. Soft, tailored upholstery is paired with finely detailed wood veneers and subtle metal accents, with each transition carefully resolved to feel intentional rather than ornamental.

Custom cabinetry and millwork are engineered to disappear into the architecture of the plane, concealing storage, controls, and functional components behind clean lines and consistent material expression. Lavatories and galley spaces are treated with the same level of attention as the main cabin, emphasizing durability, clarity, and ease of use without visual clutter.

Throughout the interior, decisions were made at an intimate scale. From edge profiles and seam placement to hardware selection and lighting integration, every element was evaluated up close and refined through collaboration with fabricators and aviation specialists. The result is an aircraft interior that feels calm and confident, where craftsmanship, comfort, and technical rigor are seamlessly aligned.
